RULES
GENERAL RULES
The International Rush Cup Salou will follow FIFA and RFEF rules, with the exceptions outlined in this document.
Participation in the tournament implies full agreement with this document. Referees are from the Catalan Referee Committee and will be appointed by the Territorial Committee of Tarragona.
COMPETITION COMMITTE
- The committee consists of 3 members.
- It has the authority to change or modify any part of these rules or any aspect of the tournament. All changes will be communicated.
- The committee will assess and rule on any sports-related claims.
Categories and Age Groups
- F8 Boys Alevín: 2014 - 2013
- F8 Girls Alevín: 2014 - 2013
- F11 Boys Infantil: 2012 - 2011
- F11 Girls Infantil: 2012 - 2011
- F11 Boys Cadete: 2010 - 2009
- F11 Girls Cadete: 2010 - 2009 - 2008
Number of Players and Substitutions
- No player limit for the team sheet of each match.
- Free substitutions during the match, with prior communication to the referee.
- In the girls' cadete category, a maximum of 2 players born in 2008 may play at the same time.
- Players must keep the same jersey number throughout the tournament.
Matches
- Minimum Matches: Each team will play at least 4 matches.
- Match Duration:
- F11: 2 halves of 25 minutes
- F8: 2 halves of 20 minutes with a 5-minute break
- Changing Rooms: Each team will be assigned one. After changing, teams must take their belongings. After the match, they may return to shower.
- Warm-up Field: Each team will be assigned one, available 30 minutes before their match.
- No-show Policy: A team not present at the scheduled time will forfeit the match 3–0.
Uniforms
- All jerseys must be numbered and match the match sheet.
- Each team must have two different-colored kits.
- In case of color conflict, the away team (listed second) must change.
Ranking Criteria
Match Points:
- Win: 3 pts
- Draw: 1 pt
- Loss: 0 pts
If two teams are tied:
- Head-to-head goal difference
- Overall goal difference
- Most goals scored
- Least goals conceded
If more than two teams are tied:
- Points earned in matches among tied teams
- Goal difference among tied teams
- Most goals scored among tied teams
- Overall goal difference
If tied in knockout matches or finals:
- 3 penalty kicks per team.
- If still tied, sudden death penalty shootout begins.
- No player can repeat a penalty until all teammates have shot.
In case of severe weather (e.g., heavy rain or wind):
- Suspended matches will be considered 0–0 draws with 1 point per team.
- If the match was underway, the current score at suspension stands.
- The organization may change the field of play if needed.
Tournament Format
6-Team Categories:
- One group of 6 teams.
- Round-robin format (each team plays all others).
- Top 2 teams play in the final.
8-Team Categories:
- Two groups (G1 and G2) of 4 teams each.
- Group Stage: 3 matches per team.
Knockout Phase:
- Top 2 from each group qualify for the Gold Phase:
- G1 1st vs G2 2nd
- G2 1st vs G1 2nd
- Winners play the Final.
- Losers play for 3rd and 4th place.
- Teams finishing 3rd and 4th go to the Silver Phase:
- G1 3rd vs G2 4th
- G2 3rd vs G1 4th
- Winners play for 5th and 6th
- Losers play for 7th and 8th
Expulsions
- A red card (two yellows or straight red for technical reasons) = no suspension.
- Direct red for physical/verbal aggression: reviewed by committee, could result in tournament expulsion.
- The organization may expel players or teams for violence or misconduct by players or supporters.
- If a suspended player participates, the team forfeits 3–0.
Organization
- Each field will have a table manager and assistant.
- The organization is not responsible for thefts, injuries, or property damage.
- Teams booking accommodation through the tournament agree to cover any damage caused.
- Participation implies acceptance of terms set by third-party services (venues, lodging, transportation).
- Any unforeseen matter will be resolved by the organization, whose decisions are final.
- The organization reserves the right to modify the rules at any time.
Injury Protocol
- The tournament will have an ambulance on-site for emergencies.
- For minor injuries: A physiotherapy service will be available in a designated tent.
- Medical insurance: All players are covered during the tournament.
- In case of injury, the organization will provide a phone number.
- The injured player must submit a medical injury form before visiting the recommended clinic.
- The organization is not responsible for injuries to players not affiliated with a FIFA-recognized federation.
Data Protection
Participants authorize the use of photos and videos for social media, publicity, and media purposes. This authorization has no territorial or time limit.
